Rules & Regulations

The Paddock Farmers Market is a a “producer only” event. All products sold at the market must be cooked, created, painted, sculpted, written, etc. by the vendor, or immediate members of the vendor’s family. AI art or any use of AI images, writings, or designs are PROHIBITED.
Items may not be purchased and resold for profit at the market

To make sure there is no over-saturation, items sold at the market are limited to two-per type of item. (For example: if one vendor sells one type of bread, and another comes in with the same type of bread, those two vendors are allowed but no other bakers will be asked to join the market unless their menus are completely different.)

The Paddock Farmers Market area are designated non-smoking zones for the comfort and safety of all vendors and guests.

Vendors are only allowed to bring items that were approved on their application. Prior to introducing a new product, a vendor must complete the appropriate parts of the application form and be approved for the new product.

Produce and prepared items not grown, cooked, etc., at the address listed on the application cannot be sold at the market.

All vendors shall allow an Paddock Farmers Market representative to inspect their facility at a convenient, scheduled time.

Hold Harmless Clause: All authorized vendors participating in the Paddock Farmers Market shall be individually responsible for any loss, personal injury, death, and/or other damage that may occur as a result of the vendor’s negligence or that of it’s servants, agents and employees. Because no insurance is provided to participants in the Paddock Farmers Market, each vendor is responsible for his/her own product liability insurance.

Each vendor is responsible for their guest and/or children. All children attending market as a guest MUST be accompanied by their parent/legal guardian at all times.

Each vendor is responsible for applying for LA Sales Tax ID Number.

Each new vendor is responsible for applying for LA Sales Tax Registration Account Number for St. Tammany Parish and with the State. Proof of application is required before acceptance to the market.

Farmers and producers of fruits, vegetables, grains, or meats selling direct to consumer are tax exempt. Products sold are held under the Hold Harmless Clause in the case of loss, sickness, personal injury, death, and/or other damage that may occur during the market.
Vendors should inform the Market Manager if they will not be participating that Saturday. We understand that life happens and there will be days you will not be able to attend. Please call Monique at (985)-705-1091
Booth Rental
Booth assignment is made at the discretion of the Market Manager. No guarantee is made that a booth will be reserved indefinitely for a vendor. The location determined for the vendor by the Market Manager is not subject to dispute.
Booth sizes are 10x10 ;You are required to provide your own table, tent, umbrella, seating, etc. All spaces are uncovered and open aired.
Parking & Unloading Procedures
You will unload and load on near your spot coming in on Leon Aly from Garfield St. Pull as close as possible to your spot & unload everything out of your vehicle by your spot. Move your vehicle to the vendor parking (off of the corner of June St & Broadway St.). Park, walk back to your belongings and bring them to your location to unpack and set-up.
YOU MAY NOT PARK NEAR YOUR SPOT AND SET UP, YOU MUST UNLOAD, PARK, AND THEN SET UP.
Rent Prices
$20.00 Day Vendor
$80.00 Monthly Vendor, per 4-week month
$100.00 Monthly Vendor, per 5-week month
Rent Schedule
Rent of $80.00 per 4-week month ($100.00 per 5-week month) will be due on the 1st Market Saturday of the month.
If you do not pay the monthly fee on the 1st Market Saturday of the month, you will pay the $20.00 Day Vendor fee for each Saturday of the month. ALL WEEKLY PAYMENTS ARE DUE BY 4PM THE THURSDAY BEFORE THE MARKET DAY EITHER VIA VENMO CODE (GIVEN BY THE MARKET MANAGER) OR CASH/CHECK.
We are a rain or shine market. This means if you pay for the month you will not receive a refund/credit if you do not attend. Last minute (DAY OF) cancelations for the weekend will not be refunded as well.
If the market manager decides to close the market on a Saturday due to severe weather (or any other unforeseen circumstance) you will be refunded for that day.
Absence from the market for 4 consecutive weeks will require a reapplication, which may or may not be done by telephone and will result in the loss of the vendor’s space at the market. It is the responsibility of the vendor to contact the Market Manager regarding his/her return.
A vendor’s acceptance may be rescinded based on diminished quality of product, inconsistent attendance, or for other significant reasons.
Rules & Regulations are subject to change at the discretion of the Market Manager.
Vendor Code of Conduct:

It is essential that vendors act with honesty and respect. Their duties should be carried out in a manner that preserves and enhances public confidence in their integrity and the integrity of the market.

A. Conduct themselves courteously towards customers, vendors and staff. Vendors are expected to represent the market in a positive manner at all times INCLUDING SOCIAL MEDIA.

B. Show integrity and professionalism adhering to the Paddock Farmers Market Rules and Regulations.

C. Treat the market as you would your individual business, not acting in a manner that is detrimental, disparaging or negatively impactful towards other vendors.

D. Bring to the attention of the market manager any issues they believe will have an adverse effect on the market
