Folsom’s first library!

On November 17, 2022 Folsom Branch Library was officially entered into the National Register of Historic Places.

The library will be open every Friday and Saturday from 10am-3pm for visitors.

The Northshore Writer’s Group meets the second Saturday of the month from 2 to 4 pm.

A second section of the group for those new to writing will meet on the third Saturday of the month from noon to 1 pm.

A Burns Night: A Poetry Reading Night

Celebrating the poetry and life of Scotland's National Poet, Robert (Rabbie) Burns Starts @ 4:00 P.M. | Folsom Branch Library Event is FREE | January 25, 2025 A light afternoon tea and dinner (bring your own haggis though). Poetry readings, storytelling, and perhaps a wee dram to mark the birthday of Rabbie Burns’ and the impact of his work on the literary and cultural heritage of the southern Louisiana and Gulf Coast Celtic community.
