The morning of Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Giddy Up and Grow Community Garden was bustling with visitors, local officials, and community garden members for the unveiling of the BRAND NEW community garden mural painted by local artist Brian Schmidt. Local artist Ben Bensen and our very own Frank Richerand lead the presentation introducing other local officials who attended like Scott Wallace & Kara McSwain with The Northshore Food Bank, Will Afton with St. Tammany Master Gardeners, a representative with WIC, and many more. After the presentation, the tour of the garden commenced showing off all the hard work put in by the members of our community garden and that the garden is steadily producing for the community. After the tour and unveiling, those who attended returned to The Giddy Up for light refreshments and continued conversation about the bright future of Wholesome Folsom’s Giddy Up & Grow Community Garden.
